IT'S LEGAL, SO CONFISCATION IMPROPER
In response to the May 1 article on the registration of medical- marijuana patients, Rep. Kevin Mannix, R-Salem, was credited with having introduced legislation, through House Bill 3052, that would eliminate a requirement that law-enforcement agencies return seized marijuana plants to medical-marijuana patients possessing valid state cards.
I wonder if Mannix also favors confiscating insulin from diabetics?
Law-enforcement agencies need to be held accountable for illegal seizures of property.
The real crime is to allow medical marijuana, legalized by Oregon voters, to be viewed as second-class treatment because of the narrow minds of a small sect in our society.
