Rep. Kevin Mannix, R-Salem, recently announced plans to push a bill to make Oregon's voter-approved medical marijuana law more restrictive.

I have an even better idea. Every lawmaker who introduces a bill to change a law approved by voters should have to face immediate re- election. After all, if Mannix thinks voters didn't understand the medical marijuana law, what makes him think voters understood his election to office?
