I, along with 8-12 other injured workers and family members were at each of the last two Oregon Senate Public Affairs Committee hearings. About a half dozen spoke at each.
Still, for injured workers to reach these politicians, most of whom don't know the real truth it's extremely important more (much) show up in the future. I realize that for many the drive to Salem adds to the pain we have but people HAVE TO make an effort because, believe me when I say that without your few hours a month to contribute to Oregon's injured it WILL get much worse.
A proposal made at an MLAC meeting on Thursday for consideration in the 2001 Legislature was to make the insurance companies medical whore's evaluation have MUCH more legal weight than your own physician at hearings.
