Together Injured Workers Succeed (TIES) is a support group of injured workers and their spouses who are also working closely with both the IWA and the Injured Worker Organizing Project (IWOP). We've been writing articles, phoning, and getting our busted-up bodies down to Salem to testify before legislators and committees on all matters pertaining to the WC crisis. We are recognized in the chambers and hallways of both the House and the Labor Department. We are in the process of negotiating self-representation on several committees.
We're outnumbered, outdressed, outspent and outraged by the insurance and business lobbyists but we will see the day when lawmakers and governor amend Oregon's WC laws.
We need injured workers to come forward in spite of their fears and testify. If you need a ride we'll pick you up. If you can't do it in person then send your "story" to TIES. Call for address or to have their survey sent to you.
With the testimonies of a thousand injured workers behind us our voices will prevail!
