Why is it that an injured worker who has consistant and extreme pain is always accused of having a mental illness? Why do so many doctors assume that because you have an on the job injury, and suffer real and long term pain that it must be related to a mental problem and not a physical one? This is one of the real tragedies of the workers comp system. Those of us who suffer with honest pain are called mental problems and treated or not treated accordingly.
