I had about 200 pounds fall on my legs when a shelf's contents at my work came crashing down. The bolts holding it broke due to my enployers negligence. My husband called Osha that day but others at work never saw them and now their saying they never got a call. We have the phone bill to prove it. I'm still waiting for surgury almost a year after it happened because of the insurance company. When I talked to the insurance adjuster and told her that the delays could cripple me she laughed for a long time and said if that happened i'd be sure to get the maximum settlement of about 50 thousand dollars. My spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair for that. No amount of money in the world could pay me for this. This insurance people are sick!!!! I lost my insurance and my husbands won't pay for it. We don't know what to do. Our lawyer said we can't sue my exemployer because the shelf could have fallen on anyone and not just me. The people who made these laws should be crippled themselfs for what they did to me and others like me.
