Info on doctors is very scant and the web sites out there only provide the basic stuff. State medical boards REAL job is to protect bad doctors. The Oregon Board of Medical Examiners has a policy of allowing doctors who are under investigation of wrong-doing to surrendering their licenses in lieu of further investigation and then NOT releasing these peoples crimes to anyone. By policy they destroy the evidence a couple years later.
I strongly suggest you go through the entire message board. There's lots of advice there about protecting yourself at an IME. Also read "Doctors for Sale" and the other files in the IME folder of the Injured Workers Alliance File Library I've linked below. You can refuse to see a specific IME by law. Having to drive 300 miles is a damn good reason. They are sending you to this specific whore (CARPENTER) because I have to assume your case is very strong and the insurance carrier knows this guy WILL sell his human & medical ethics out for the enormous money they'll pay him for making statements completely contrary to medical fact.
Please bring a witness to the IME and try to record it too. Should you need a witness call IWOP (listed in "Related Groups" or IWA.
