umm, i checked it out when my husband was sent to an IME. The law in Oregon about taping is that only one party has to be informed about the taping. As long as you know and give your approval to the taping, the DR. doesn't have to even know about the tape. It worked. The ass-hole didn't have any idea what was going on and we were able to tape the entire thing. You would be amazed at how much more freely they will speak if they DON'T know about the tape. We were even able to get a DR. who said that the original DR. had done everything wrong, then said he wouldn't testify against anyone. We had it on tape, so he was caught saying it. Just don't tell them. It still works.
