I took my attorney and his assistant to lunch one day.
While we were eating they were talking about some cases in which they were involved. They mentioned an IME's name and said they could easily make him look
bad in an up coming hearing. He was an IME who gave me a favorable report. I was going to need his testimony and I wanted him to be good for my case, so it
would not work for my attorney to discredit him prior to my hearing. I spoke up and let the attorney know that he was going to need the IME's good will at my
hearing, he agreed.
Unfortunate as it is the other party may not have done as well as they may have if the IME could have been discredited at their hearing.
Injured workers are the victim of politic's.
