Now, you're talk'in, Tom. Your actions improved the situation for others, probably at the cost of your job. I can appreciate your sacrifice and I hope that your fellow employees are aware of and appreciate your hard work. I think it is important to note that you successfully mounted a multi pronged attack and, ultimately, you were the one responsible for the change. An attorney will only accomplish so much for you, but, real change usually only occurs when you take action yourself. An attorney is a business person and must be concerned about making money. However, many of the administrative processes including OR-OSHA don't award fees or penalties to your attorney, so, ultimately, it is up to you to bring about real change. (I think the "nitpicking" has gone both directions.)
