Another so-called unbiased news account that skims over the facts of Smothers yet pushes the cost to business. How about a story that is based on facts of the thousands getting nothing yet losing their life savings (houses) because of greed by businesses, carriers, media who are employers and chicken shit to upset advertisers and politicians who've sold out and deserted the voters

OREGON SUPREME COURT ASKED TO CHANGE WORKERS COMP SYSTEM

The Oregon Supreme Court was asked today to alter a foundation of the workers' compensation system and give employees the right to sue if the system rejects their injury claims. Billions of dollar are at stake in the case over what's meant to be a no-fault system . Workers are supposed to get compensation for job-related injury or illness in exchange for keeping the cases out of the courts. The appeal was brought by a man who suffered breathing problems after inhaling an acid mist. The workers compensation system said his claim was not covered, so he went to court. Lawyers for the worker say the lawsuit ban is unconstitutional. They claim the ban violates a provision in the state constitution giving all people a remedy for injuries to them.
