The WC system here has been purposely designed to drag out so injured workers are forced from not having any income coming in during the several months or years that a claim is denied/closed/re-closed to settle for peenies on the dollar. Workers are forced to pay the vaste majority of their injury expenses themselves, especially the bills that will come in the future.
