I had surgery 8 years ago for work injury to my spine. I have been totally disabled since with complications. My case went to court a couple years ago and the judge found in my favor. I had Independent Medical Exam and this man had a woman ask me questions on a form. He only spent about 3 minutes with me but wrote a very long, detailed report. He concluded that even though my condition is permanent, I can work full time. Nothing has changed...just him saying this in his report. I have an attorney, and he tells me that I have to meet with insurance company person to find a job. My doctor continues to say I am totally disabled. Do I have to meet with the insurance man? Why would my attorney tell me to meet with him? Shouldn't this be taken back to court or something? I can't work but I need to protect myself. Does anyone have any advise related to Pennsylvania Workers' Comp Laws?
