I began at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Lake City, Florida 4-1-97 on 7-1-97 I was put in the hospital and diagnosed as Bipolar. After my short-term disability ran out and was still unable to return to work I filed for long-term disability and today, 7-6-00, after hounding the insurance company for 7 months they tell me I don't quaify for benifits because the year before I went to work my doctor gave me something for depression. I had never heard of Bipolar before July 1, 1999. We are told if we pay we will be helped when needed and then we are not. That is very unfair.
