Ive got a very important ?

Postby spudler » September 29th, 2008, 6:52 pm

I was injured at work and my employer told me not to file a claim that they would pay for my time off and work with me to pay for my medical expenses and such. Is that even legal?? also now they have changed their tune acting like they have no positions for me seeing I have some major back problems and may not ever be able to do the same type of work I was doing I am very concerned on what my steps are and If I have now ruined any chances of getting any type of retraining or any of the rights and options I had of I would of not listened to them and filed the claim?
I am really concerned and would appreciate any suggestions or links to help me with this issue.

Without knowing details, if injured in Oregon it's best you seek advice from the Ombudsman for Injured Workers at 800-927-1271. Their Website is http://egov.oregon.gov/DCBS/OIW/index.shtml.

If injured in another state find the appropriate link from http://www.workerscompensationinsurance.com.
