Frustrated--Whats Next????

Postby matfam » April 15th, 2009, 5:13 pm

Hello to all. I have been lurking here for a while. In Feb of this year I was diagnosed with left lateral epicondilitis (tennis elbow). The urgent care doc said that it was a repetitive motion injury and to follow up with Occ Health in a week. I followed up and went to physical therapy. About 2 weeks into it all I asked to see a specialist and to be referred for an MRI, 3 weeks later I was referred to a specialist and got the MRI. The MRI showed that I had a torn tendon. PT was doing nothing. The ortho said that I needed surgery to repair the tendon.

About this same time I got the notice from WC that they were denying my claim. They stated that my injurys were caused by diabetic neuropathy and a previous injury.

My blood sugers have only been high for the last few months. The only treatment I have ever had on my left elbow was in Nov of 2008, for the same thing with the same employer.

I am appealing the denial.

I also have short term disability, oh good right, ya they denied my claim because the injury happened at work.

I had the tendon repaired April 1st and am healing now.

So I'm thinking unemployment, they have to review my claim which takes 3 to 6 weeks.

I may very well be back to work before they review my claim.

So here I am with 0$ income and can't return to work until my arm is healed.

What have some of you done to make it. We are in survival mode at this point.

Thanks for letting me vent. I HATE INS Companies
