Which state do you live in? If Oregon, I can give you some info as I have been a Permanent and Total Disability for several years. In Oregon the insurers can re-examine you and do home meetings every year or two, in my case it's been every two years for a home meeting with an insurance company investigator. I still receive a monthly check from the insurer but it's offset by Social Security to a certain amount. If you have an attorney, they should be able to answer your questions for you. Also, the state's Comp Ombudsman is an excellent source of information. Send them an e-mail or give them a call on the toll-free number. . . .it's definitely worth your time and effort. Old Timer |
