My heart goe's out to you...I have had two shoulder surgerie's and it has left me with alot of pain and swelling. First, they diagnosed me with "Impingement Syndrome" went in Orthoscopically removed a whole bunch of bone spur's, scar tissue, and part of a tendon. Then my doctor and a IME doctor decided I needed a 2nd surgery and this time opened me up, front part of the shoulder and did a partial removal of the collarbone and removed some more bone spurs. I went thru all kinds of physical therapy and one thing I learned is there is good pain and bad pain. Good pain is ok but bad pain isn't. And I had too much of the bad so they stopped it. I still do excercise's at home but I know I have lost strength and motion. My doctor now tell's me I may never get better. Seems like the more I do the more pain and swelling I have. But I haven't given up, I am still trying to find a doctor that can help me figure this out cause I do not want to live like this for the rest of my life. I have been on pain med's, muscle relaxer's and sleeping pills. Thank God I do not have an addictive type personality. I do have an attorney and have had thru out this case. My feeling is that the bone fragment will cause more damage....like the bone spur's did to my tendon. I would get a second opinion, you are entitled and am sure your doctor wouldn't mind. If I can be of any further help please feel free to contact me at bonzione@worldnet.att.net.... Good luck....Bonnie |
