Can any one tell me how to get medical treatment with out having to wait for a year after my doctor prescribes it. I was injured in 1972 and was awarded medical treatment to cure or relieve from the effects of the injury and it has been a battle ever since. Devices to help me be mobile and therapy have been denied or made such a hassle that it has hampered any kind of rehabilitation. Thank You Ed Rees |

Posted At 07:59:05 03/25/2001 I have the same problem, and I am now waiting for a hearing regarding the denials. This has now been 6 months, 3 denials, an IME denial, and now waiting for a hearing date. This hassle of denials is standard wc procedure. The work over the weak broken down person , in a battle that only the strong survive. I love their defeats, and I will continue to fight for my fair entitlement. |

Posted At 13:04:49 03/25/2001 The Tarzan way is go ahead and do, what ever you need. Trouble is you still will not recoupe your money, and you'll will be a fraud to boot. The good side is, you will recieve your medical in a more timely manner. I've been 5-1/2 years now, kind of makes me wonder, if I would be where I am now in 2 or 2-1/2 years. Not dragging Worthle$$ Comp. around. It's difficult enough, just trying to find an honest caring doctor. To quote my shirt-tail brother-inlaw, what don't kill you will make you stronger! |
