I was wondering my husbands case closed last fall and he wasn't retrained it is now possible that he will be. Will he get time loss retroactive back to clousure date? or just during training? it has been really hard being the only income during the appeal process, his award paid up the bill for the year of not working. we are in oregon

Just wondering, your husband will be entitled to receive timeloss if they reopen his claim for vocational assistance. It will depend, if he is placed in an on-the-job situation he may only receive salary as long as that salary is equivalent to his wage at injury. If you have further questions please call 800-452-0288 and speak to a Benefit Consultant about your husbands rights. If they can't answer the questions you have they know who will know the answer and can get you to the correct party for help.

Also, they will not have to go back and pick-up the time between claim closure and reopening for vocational services.
Be very careful about retraining programs Re: re-training and time loss (Currently 0 replies)

You might be better off to settle, and go to a real school. depends on the injury of coarse.
