There is only one guideline in workers compensation about pay.! The law in all 50 states reads this..! FACT: IF your EMPLOYER/INSURER does not pay the worker by the 28th day, THE EMPLOYER/INSURER shall notify the board why they did not pay.( SO WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT EVERY 28th DAY sometimes (32) THE EMPLOYER WILL SEND YOU YOUR CHECK. OR DENY YOUR CLAIM..! (NOW WHAT THIS MEANS DO NOT RUN OUT & HIRE A LAWYER UNTIL THE 29TH DAY, AFTER YOU CHECK YOUR MAIL, IF THEIR IS NO CHECK BY THEN "BOB" YOU WOULD THEN PROCEED TO GET THE LAWYER IF NO CHECK WERE TO SHOW UP.! ( NOW MOST OF YOU ALSO NEED TO KNOW THAT IF THE "EMPLOYER/INSURER PAYS 75% OF THE CLAIMS ON "TIME" through OUT THE YEAR, THEIR WILL NOT BE A LATE PAYMENT PENALTY TO THE EMPLOYEE THAT DOES NOT GET THEIR CHECK ON "TIME" THIS IS THE LAW MOST EMPLOYEES WILL NEVER GET THAT 25% THAT BI-WEEKLY CRAP THEY TALK ABOUT IS BOGUS (the only pay period by law is 28th day either "PAY"- OR "DENY" the CLAIM..!) |
