Hello! My name is George and I have been working for the same grocery company for seven years. I recieved my first LTD check which I was shorted $25.00 on the 9th of this month. My question to anybody that might know is.Can you sue the company you work for your injury and the effects it has had on your life after the accident such as deppresion, stress and servere migrain headaches, plus a store director that would harress all the employess in my dept by taking them away from thier work to talk about nothing and to tell the employees in the dept that thier dept looked like crap when everyone has worked very hard to make it look good. Can you sue the company and get workmans comp in the state of Florida?

George,
Laws vary from state-to-state, but must don't allow a worker to sue an employer at all or only in "rare" circumstances. Additional info was e-mailed to you in regards to advocates in Florida.

TOM - WELL THAT WAS REALLY HELPFUL! WHO ARE YOU TO TELL
ANYONE TO SHUT UP? YOU'VE GOT A LOT OF NERVE,EVEN
IF NO BRAINS!

DEL - THANKS FOR THE INFO. I DIDN'T WRITE THE ORIGINAL QUESTION, BUT CAN USE THE SITES YOU SUGGEST AS I
LIVE IN FLORIDA TOO. VERY INFORMATIVE.

GEORGE- I GOT LAWYERS TO SEE WHAT I COULD DO ABOUT MY
INJURIES AND THE WAY I WAS TREATED. I WAS TOLD THAT
YOU CAN ONLY SUE A THIRD PARTY IF THEY CAUSED YOUR INJURY. (i.e. a construction co. leaving something
at the job site that caused injury....ect.) BUT THAT
WAS SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I KNOW THAT THEY CAN PUT YOU THROUGH A LOT HARASSING YOU ABOUT YOUR INJURIES AND ACTUALLY CAUSE MORE HARM MENTALLY. I'M PAST ALL THAT
NOW, BUT WILL NEVER FORGET. AS DEL SAID, CHECK OUT THE LINKS HE PROVIDED. AND I ALSO SUGGEST TALKING TO A LAWYER THAT SPECIALIZES IN EMPLOYMENT LAW.
CONSULTATION IS USUALLY FREE, AND IF YOU HAVE A CASE,THEY'LL USUALLY TAKE THEIR FEE OUT OF THE AWARD,
OR MAKE THE COMPANY PAY IT. HANG IN THERE AND GOOD LUCK!
